South West Irrigation Asset Cooperative


Kevin Warburton is a beef farmer from Brunswick Junction. He is an active and respected local community member, serving 18 years as President of the local kindergarten and primary school and serving on the school council. He has coached basketball and junior football and was previously president of the Brunswick Basketball Club. Kevin also served 15 years with the Kemerton Community Advisory Group and was past Vice-president of the Dairy Section of WAFF. Kevin was elected to the Board of SWIAC at the 2013 AGM and was appointed Chairman in November 2015.

Charlie Marino is a dairy and beef farmer from Harvey after spending some years as a Bank Officer. He was a member of the previous South West Irrigation Management Committee, and served on the SWIMCO Board and the Audit Committee. Charlie was elected to the Board of SWIAC at the 2009 AGM.

 

Mike Snell was elected to the SWIMCO Board as a non-member Director at the 2008 AGM. Mike worked for over 30 years with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and since retiring has served on the board of a variety of commercial and community organisations. He is also a Director of the South West Irrigation Asset Cooperative Ltd. Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ian Eckersley, Chairman, is a citrus and wine grape grower from Harvey. Ian is a life member of the Harvey Agricultural Society and is Chairman of the Harvey Agricultural College Advisory Committee.  Ian was Chair of SWIAC until 2009 when he retired and was appointed to the SWIMCO Board.

 

Samuel Epiro is a dairy and beef farmer from Harvey. He has worked in Local Government and has completed a Foundations for Leadership course. Sam is a Director of the Rural Water Services Company.

 

 

Kevin Depiazzi, Director, is a dairy farmer from Dardanup. After completing a Certificate in Agricultural Mechanics in 1980 he joined his father and brother on the family dairy farm. He currently manages the business in partnership with his brother. Kevin has over 25 years experience of irrigation issues from a farmers perspective, and has particular interest in the Collie Irrigation Area. Kevin was elected to the Board of SWIMCO in 2009.  Kevin is a member of the Audit Committee.

Anthony Commisso is a third generation dairy farmer and has been managing the family farm in Burekup since 2005.  He was elected to the Board of SWIMCO in 2012.  He has a young family and enjoys being involved in their school and junior sporting commitments.  Anthony is also a member of the Audit Committee.

 

 Luke Fitzpatrick is a qualified Motor Mechanic and fourth generation dairy farmer from Waroona, managing the family farm since 1997.  Elected to the Board of SWIMCO in 2012, Luke has a young family and is active in the school community. He also has interests in property investment and the share market.  Luke is a Director of Rural Water Services Pty Ltd.

Bradd Hamersley – General Manager

Bradd was appointed to the role of General Manager in May 2017. Bradd grew up in the Wheatbelt before moving to the South-West in his teens.

Bradd joins us after 13 years with the diversified construction contractor, John Holland Pty Ltd. At John Holland Bradd held a number of senior roles including Bid Director on the $430m Goulburn Murray Water Project Reset and Regional Construction Manager for Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and New Zealand.

Bradd holds a Master of Business Administration and post graduate degrees in Employment Relations and Occupational Health and Safety.

Stephen CookOperations Manager

Stephen joined Harvey Water as part of the pipe project team in 2008. He is responsible for the asset management and water services functions of the Cooperative, overseeing the maintenance and water delivery services. He is also responsible for safety, health and environmental aspects of the Cooperative.
 
Stephen has extensive managerial experience spanning over 20 years in many different countries across a broad spectrum of services.
 
Stephen achieved a graduate diploma in management (UK) and also holds a diploma in OHS from IFAP
